Youth Ministry

We have a wide range of activities on offer for young people of various ages in our churches. 

Sunday Services
A creche is available as needed at Sunday services for infants as well as a concurrent Sunday School for children aged 4-12 with scripture based singing, games, crafts and a programme of bible lessons provided by a minimum of two of our child protection trained youth workers. 

Friday Nights
Many of our churches run a weekly youth service on Friday nights during term time for children and teenagers with singing, Bible teaching and prayer. 

Youth Camp
Each year we hold a youth conference for young people aged between 10 and 16 in the week before our July Conference. You can find out more here.

Fire Conference
Our annual 'Fire Conference' will be held at Abernethy Barcaple, Castle Douglas in November. The conference is for young adults seeking to deepen in their walk with God and regularly draws students and young adults from across the UK together to seek God over a weekend. You can find out more here.

Other Events
Our Summer Conference and Church Conferences also have full provision for youth age groups featuring the same mixture of fun activities, scripture message, prayer and praise. 

The Greenock Church has occasional Boys' Days and Girls' Days of fun activities for all the children to come together on a Saturday as well as special 'Youth Weekends' of services and activities for children and teens run in our Greenock and Glasgow Churches at various times throughout the year. Struthers Memorial Group of Churches has a comprehensive child protection policy. A copy of this policy is available in every branch church. People are welcome to view this policy by application to the minister. Everyone who works with children, young people or vulnerable adults is required to undergo training and to return a completed disclosure form from PVG.
