STRUTHERS MEMORIAL CHURCH GOUROCK

The Gourock branch of Struthers Memorial Church was established as a result of the vision that the late Mr. Hugh Black (co-founder of the Struthers Memorial Fellowship of Churches) had to see the Gospel preached in Greenock and the surrounding areas. Meetings were begun in Gourock High School preparatory to the current church being built in Tower Drive in 1970. 

The late Mr. Robert Cleary was the minister there until his death in 2014. The leadership of the church there is now in the hands of Allan Black and Hugh Gilchrist. 

The seaside town of Gourock adjoins the larger neighbouring town of Greenock along the Firth of Clyde. The Gourock Church is one of several satellite congregations over the years, in the district of Inverclyde, who have Sunday morning services in their own locality but then join the congregation at the Greenock Church for Sunday evening services.
