STRUTHERS MEMORIAL CHURCH GREENOCK

Picture
Greenock is where the Struthers Memorial Fellowship of Churches was founded in the 1950s by Mr Hugh Black and Miss Elizabeth Taylor. The building was purchased from the outgoing Reformed Presbyterian Church congregation in 1954. The Gourock and Port Glasgow branches, also in the Inverclyde area, have separate local meetings on a Sunday morning but join the Greenock church for evening services on a Sunday. The minister of the Greenock church is Mr Black’s youngest daughter, Mrs Grace Gault.

Report on Ladies Craft Day!

Today we enjoyed a truly wonderful Ladies Craft Day, filled with friendship, laughter, and creativity. It was heart‑warming to see our church family gathered together, joined by some friends we hadn’t seen for some time, as well as new faces who were warmly welcomed.

The atmosphere was joyful and lively, with plenty of fun at the wreath‑making table, guided by our resident expert Heather, whose skill and encouragement kept everyone inspired. Alongside this, the talented Christine Paton and Linda Mitchell who led beautiful sessions in jewellery making and card crafting, giving participants the chance to learn new skills and create something special.

The teamwork and generosity of everyone shone through, making the day not only creative but deeply uplifting.

🙏 Special thanks go to Heather for her excellent organisation and dedication in bringing the event together. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many already looking forward to next year’s craft day.

This event reminded us once again of the joy and blessing we share in fellowship together. 🎄🥰
