Gareth & Helen Watkins
The Neath branch of Struthers Memorial Church began as a house group in the home of Gareth and Helen Watkins in the mid 1990s and they were invited to join the Struthers Fellowship by Mr. Black in 1996. Gareth and Helen had been attending conferences at the London Church throughout the mid-90s and established enduring links with Diana Rutherford, the minister of the Cumbernauld Church, as well during that period. The church met in a local community centre before acquiring their own premises in 2009. This building has recently been extended to provide additional space for youth work and kitchen facilities.
The church provides various weekly services as well as house groups, Alpha Course and Mother & Toddlers and occasional outreach events in the community.
