NEW DAWN BOOKSHOP & COFFEESHOP – GREENOCK

The New Dawn Bookshop and Coffeeshop originally began in our Greenock church hall in the late 1980s and moved to our current purpose built building adjacent to the church in November 1993. Extensions were added in 1995 and in 2008.

Owned by Struthers Memorial Church and operated by paid staff and volunteers the bookshop provides seating for ninety persons over two levels and offers a wide stock of Christian books as well as music, DVDs, gifts and cards.  Come and enjoy full meals, our lovely homemade soups, sandwiches, snacks and a wide range of cakes in a relaxed atmosphere, six days a week.

We give discounts of 10% to churches and other Christian groups who are purchasing books, cards and gifts for their church’s/group’s use e.g. Sunday School prizes, Bibles and hymnbooks. It does not apply to food purchases.

In addition to a wide range of Christian titles, the bookshop has a section with books of local interest e.g. pictures of the local area and its history, of Clyde steamers etc.

BOOKS BY HUGH B. BLACK

The bookshop has a large selection of books which Mr Black, one of the founding ministers of the church, wrote towards the end of his long life of Christian service. These books cover themes that were very dear to him e.g. salvation, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, healing, deliverance and revival, as well as studies on some of the great men of faith in the Bible. The books contain a wealth of Christian teaching but also amazing insights and anecdotes which make them very enjoyable reading. The leaflet above shows all of the books by Mr Black and these are available to purchase from the New Dawn Bookshop or using this order form.

If you wish to purchase any of Mr Black’s books by mail or email, please download and complete our Books Order Form below and send it to the address on the form or email it to bookshop@struthers-church.org
