Struthers Memorial Church is a provider of free money courses from national debt counselling charity Christians Against Poverty. 

The CAP Money course is a minimum three-session money management and financial education course focused on budget, save and spend principles. It is proven to have dramatic effects on the way people think about money, organise their finances, live within their means and get money under control.

The course format is practical, very easy, and interactive. You actually work through your own budgets and set the system up over three weekly sessions which also cover saving for future needs and spending with cash. There are add-on sessions available specifically for couples, families, retirement and the self-employed. Confidentiality is key and you are not expected to divulge your financial situation to anyone. The course provides you with information which you can apply to your own situation as you see fit, although one-to-one help is available for your specific situation if desired.

The CAP Money Course is also available for university students (see video) to help them to prepare for taking on their own personal finances and there is a course for Kids and Youth age groups  to introduce them to the concept of money management in school. Contact us to arrange any of these.
